Title:’Rain at Asakusa Kannon Temple’ (Asakusa Kannon-do) Artist: Tsuchiya Koitsu Date: June 1933 (original publish) Publisher: Doi Hangaten (watermark upper-left corner) Printer: Yokoi Carver: Harada Size: Oban tate-e (15 5/8″ x 10 1/2″), full margins Condition: VERY GOOD – bold color, excellent shading, fine impression and carving, 1 corner crease (bottom left), 2 tape marks on verso,’akasuka’ in pencil on bottom margin. Early post-war Doi printing by Yokoi ca. Stored on acid free paper for 20 years. Packaged in acid-free paper with flat cardboard envelope inside padded cardboard box (please specify if other method is preferred). First edition pre-war Doi Teiichi printing by Matsushita. This is an amazing piece for it’s age despite the condition issues. Stored on acid free paper for 20 years. Packaged in acid-free paper with flat cardboard envelope inside padded cardboard box (please specify if other method is preferred).
