For sale is a lovely double oban sized Japanese woodblock print by Toshi Yoshida, titled Hummingbirds and Fuschia. Image size is 11 1/2″ by 19 1/2″, framed size is 20×28. It is pencil signed by the artist. This print created in 1971 by Yoshida at the Mendocino Art Center. Good condition in a nice frame. Not examined out of the frame.

Formal Name: Bijutsukai volume24. Year of publication: 1897. Size: 23.7×16.3cm(9.3×6.4inch). Bijutsukai is a collection of beautifully colored designs for arts and crafts such as a kimono. It has been published since 1909 by Unsodo. Compared to Shin-Bijutsukai, it is based on a traditional design. Condition: Cover has light foxing, stains, partial creasing, small tears at corners, some extra binding holes, illustrations have light foxing, some are dull. This item is not new. Utagawa Kuniaki Original 1861 Japanese Woodblock Woman Children Looking at Snow. Original Antique Woodblock print by Utagawa Kuniaki dated 1861 depicting a Woman with infant and two Children Greeting Father/husband while Looking Through the Window out at Snowy Landscape. It appears that the dark spot on lower left is the shoulder of the person they are greeting (presumably the father). This is an original antique Japanese Woodblock print by Utagawa Yoshiiku, also known as Ochiai Yoshiiku from 1863. It depicts the actor Sawamura Tossho II as Kojiro. Kojiro was an expert swordsman from the early Edo period (early 17th century) and is often depicted because where he succumbs in dealth to Miyamoto Musashi. 20 1/2 x 16 1/4 x 1 inches frame. 14 x 10 inches print. 4 lb 2 oz. Framed and matted under glass in a black high varnish lacquer? Utagawa Kunisada (1786 – 12 January 1865), also known as Utagawa Toyokuni III, (Sandai Utagawa Toyokuni), was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist. He is considered the most popular, prolific and commercially successful designer of ukiyo-e woodblock prints in 19th-century Japan. In his own time, his reputation far exceeded that of his contemporaries, Hokusai, Hiroshige and Kuniyoshi. Framed and matted under glass. Frame is in good condition.
