This is a nice vintage Japanese Chieko Minagawa woodblock print Ikebana Flower Arrangement / Arranging. In good condition as the pics show with no signs of wear to the print but the bamboo style frame has some minor wear and it comes exactly as shown. The frame measures 14″ x 18 1/2″ and the sight is 10 1/4″ x 14 3/4″.

Listed is a framed, ready to hang, 17 x 21 inch Japanese woodblock print by Hasagawa of the lead actor of the famous Kabuki play “Shibaraku”. His sleeves are embossed. The matching frame makes for a striking image. All matting and taping materials are acid free and of Museum quality. There is a slight discolored spot on the lower left on the mat. In the 1950s he published bird and animal prints, landscapes and “famous views” with the publisher Unsodo – more than 100 in total. The print is reprinted using original block. Formal Name: Chiyogami-hyakushu vol. 1 100 of types of Chiyogami. Incidentally, it appears that volume 2 was never published. Year of publication: 1922. Contents: 40 illustration page. Size: 38.5×26cm(15.2×10.2inch). Condition: Cover has foxing, staining, tears and damage, light foxing and staining to the margins of the illustrations, some tears to the folds of the illustrations. Chiyogami is a decorative paper traditionally made in Japan and used for Origami and gift wrapping. This book is a collection of Chiyogami masterpieces from the Edo period onwards; it does not appear to have been published after Vol. This item is not new. These are all in very good condition with some minor tears on some. These originally were in books Vol I, Vol II, Vol III with ink and watercolor prints. These books were taken apart by the previous owner, and 10 of them were framed. They all measures 9 3/4″ X 7″ and there are 24 black ink, and 10 watercolor. I have the book covers and the backs, and also I think in Japanese writing what was in each. Please look closely at my photos for details.
