The subject is a famous scene from the Kabuki play “Kagamiyama Kokyo no Nishikie” in which a woman plays the “Zori-uchi” (a kind of sandal-putting). The painting is in good condition, but please check the photos.

The piece is in great overall condition with minor signs of wear consistent with its age and use (scattered light wear to paper; some light staining to matting).
