The print is entitled’Akasaka’, from the series “Scenes of Famous Places along the Tôkaidô Road” (Tôkaidô meisho fûkei) – 1863. The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and slight creasing to the corners, otherwise in good condition. He inherited the name Hiroshige II following the death in 1858 of his master Hiroshige. His work has often been confused with that of his master, as they resemble closely in style, subject, and signature. Size: 31.1 x 20.7cm (12.2″ x 8.1″). Includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
