Edo Period Japanese Ukiyo-e Woodblock Print Lot (3). Offered here is a group of three original Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints, dating to the Edo period, all attributed to Utagawa Kunisada (also known as Toyokuni III), one of the most prolific and collected artists of the Utagawa school. This lot includes a varied and visually compelling selection of subjects representative of Edo-period popular culture. Beauty (Bijin-ga) – A woman seated and reading a letter, a classic domestic theme. Kabuki Actor Scene (Yakusha-e) – Dramatic theatrical imagery with expressive figures and costume. Genre / Daily Life Scene – A fish market view from Odawara, depicting everyday life and travel. Each print shows hand-printed line work, traditional pigments, and period paper, with visible age consistent with authentic Edo-era impressions. Condition varies across the three, with expected wear including toning, edge wear, creases, surface rubbing, and small losses-nothing unusual for prints of this age.
