Katsushika Hokusai Shunga Antique Japanese Woodblock Ehon Tsuhi No Hinagata

An amorous couple on futon, from the “Ehon Tsuhi No Hinagata” (Models of Loving Couples) series. Antique Japanese woodblock print. Unsigned, most Hokusai shunga are unsigned. Good condition, especially considering that it is over 200 years old. Well preserved and cared for. Backed a long time ago with fine Japanese paper. Minor wear commensurate with age. No repairs or restorations. The torn edge is only the backing and not the actual print. Measures 14.125″ X 10″ (35.8 cm X 25.4 cm). This will be mailed slightly rolled (5″ diameter) and placed into a 6″ X 6″ X 14″ box. This is safer and lower cost. Notify us if you wish to have ot mailed flat, realize that it will cost more. Items paid for on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will not be mailed until at least Monday. Some items might be unable to be combined. Used, vintage, antique, previously owned, displayed, and such items, are not new or mint condition, they will have wear. It is impossible to describe every tiny detail of every item. If there is a major damage or wear or repair we will reveal it in the description, in either the images or the wording. But if we don’t notice a detail, it is not intentional.
