TOMIKICHIRO TOKURIKI Yamato Shigisan Temple Japanese Woodblock Print

Vintage 1940s-50s Japanese woodblock print. Tomikichiro Tokuriki is the artist. Tomikichiro Tokuriki was born March 22, 1902, in Kyoto, Japan. The first teacher of the young Tomikichiro was his grandfather. Later he entered the Kyoto School of Arts and Crafts with a two-year preparatory class and four years of regular training, and later a three year training at the Kyoto College of Art. He graduated from Kyoto Art College in 1923. Tomikichiro Tokuriki died in 1999 in Kyoto. The subject is Yamato Shigisan Shrine. This print is matted & the top is tipped on to back paper. Hello, you are viewing my listing for an Antique Japanese Woodblock Print showing Samurai Warrior Images as well as Wording. This is a Large Framed woodblock print with a glass front. The detailing and layout reminds me of a comic book. This artwork with the frame weighs 7.2 pounds and measures 31″ wide by 20 and 1/4″ tall. The woodblock art by itself measures 25 and 1/4″ wide by 15 and 1/2″ tall. This art is in good condition with minor wear present. There are no rips, tears, or repairs. There are some light crease lines present where it appears that this paper was once folded. Please view all my photographs for further details. Please note all sales are final.
