Title: “Nikko Yumoto Onsen”. Print measures 10″ x 15 1/8″ Oban size. The Hasui red seal mark appears gone. There seem to be a few “scuff” marks of some kind in upper portion of mountains area of print. It is quite possible that someone attempted to clean or possibly bleach this print at some point in time. There is also pencil notations along the top front margin. Rare Kawase Hasui 1924 original pre war “A” seal Japanese Shin Hanga woodblock. From the Souvenirs of Travel, Third series. Published by The Watanabe Color Print Co. Tape remnants on verso top from previous matte hinges. Pinhole top left front corner area. General toning and some color fading to print. What appears to be slight “scuff” marks (about 1 in length) just below the right side roof of the pavilion. No tears, rips, repairs or other damage present.
