Print has been properly stored flat in a print folio for the past 30 years – from a recent family estate. Condition: Fine, with no condition issues. Dated and signed middle right: “Showa 4″ (1929), followed by the circular artist’s seal reading: “Kotondo”. Embossed title in the lower margin reads “Ame” (Rain). Seal in lower left of joint publishers Sakai and Kawaguchi. Blocks carved by Ito and printed by Komatsu Wasakichi. “Made in Japan”, stamped on the reverse. An unnumbered trial edition, displaying the same colors and state; with correct publisher chops/seals. Size: 18 x 11 -3/4 (Full over-sized margins). Reference: Female Image, #173; The New Wave, #265.
