Listed is a framed, ready to hang, 17 x 21 inch Japanese woodblock print by Hasagawa of the lead actor of the famous Kabuki play “Shibaraku”. His sleeves are embossed. The matching frame makes for a striking image. All matting and taping materials are acid free and of Museum quality. There is a slight discolored spot on the lower left on the mat. Shiro Kasamatsu – House in Ontake – Woodblock Print Kawase Hasui Ukiyo-e Japan. Shiro Kasamatsu was a student of Kaburagi Kiyokata. In the 1950s he published bird and animal prints, landscapes and “famous views” with the publisher Unsodo – more than 100 in total. The print is reprinted using original block. Shiro Kasamatsu worked in Shin Hanga and Sosaku Hanga style. These charges are your responsibility.
