This is a lovely antique original print by Utagawa Kunisada, also known as Toyokuni III Signed, dated and stamped on upper and lower right. It is titled view of Ise Divers Processing Abalone; it is the right part of a triptych. Framed and matted under glass in a gilt imitation bamboo wood frame with fine raw silk matting. Utagawa Kunisada (1786 – 12 January 1865), also known as Utagawa Toyokuni III, (Sandai Utagawa Toyokuni), was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist. He is considered the most popular, prolific and commercially successful designer of ukiyo-e woodblock prints in 19th-century Japan. In his own time, his reputation far exceeded that of his contemporaries, Hokusai, Hiroshige and Kuniyoshi. Condition: Very good condition. Framed and matted with raw silk under glass. Frame is in good condition. Measurements: Frame: 20 x 15 3/4 x 1 inches; Woodblock: 13 1/2 x 9 1/4 inches. Weight: 3 lbs 11 oz.
