SERIES: HEROES OF THE TAIHEIKI. SUBJECT: SAMURAI, SAMURAI ARMOR AND ATTIRE, SWORDS, WEAPONS BATTLE, WAR. CONDITION: Some prints have binding holes, tears, stains, and some wrinkles. Great impression and beautiful colors.

ARTIST: Yamamoto Sekkei (SEKKA YAMAMOTO). AGE: APPROX 100 years old. MEDIUM: WOODBLOCK PRINT (INK ON PAPER) NISHIKI-E. SIZE: 16 inches by 10.5 inches (41 cm X 27 cm). GENRE: JAPANESE PATTERN DESIGNS. CONDITION: (see detailed pictures) Some have stains, foxing. DESCRIPTION: deluxe printing techniques, metallic pigments, splashed gofun, etc. Were used in the making of many of the prints in this series. COMMENTS: BEAUTIFUL COLORS, GREAT IMPRESSION.

This is an original woodblock print by Kason Suzuki called Kominato Harbor. I believe this was printed between 1930 to 1950 by the other woodblocks I have from this collection I bought over 35 years ago. Size is 7 1/8 inches by 4 9/16. The condition is good but there are some issue with corner being wrinkled a little and top and side have marks where someone tried to picked it up. Overall it looks good. Probably wont be able to tell or see in an acid free matte and nice frame because it’s where it would be under the matte. My wife and I have collected prints and paintings for over 35 years with the intention of opening a store when we retired. Thank you for your interest.
