Japanese Woodblock Print, 2010, 1st edition, self-published, pencil signed, titled and numbered 24/100 in the lower margin. SIZE IN INCHES: 15.75 x 9.5 inches. Masaki Yoshida (1947 – 2019). He had continued to create as a woodblock print artist for many years, and his warm style was loved by many fans, but unfortunately he passed away suddenly in January of 2019. Yoshida apparently took photographs of butterflies and birds himself to serve as models for making woodblocks. He traveled not only within Japan but also overseas in search of rare ones. He successfully photographed ones that are rarely seen, from familiar butterflies to various types of birds. Various types of butterflies and birds were accurately and meticulously rendered, and he made them sparkled on the papers. Condition : A few light creases on the edge. Please read before ordering.
