Edo Era Japanese Woodblock Triptych Print, Oguri and Terute. From 1394 to 1411, in the country of Hitachi, Oguri, the lord of a castle, along with ten retainers, disguised themselves as merchants and stayed at an inn. There were many women in the inn, and among them was an exquisite prostitute named Terutehime. Oguri and Terute later became man and wife, and this print depicts the scene of their encounter.
