His novel work surprised impressionist painters such as Van Gogh, Monet, and Degas, and had a great influence on the “Japonismu” that swept the West in the 19th century. Reproduction print by real woodblock print. This is a real Japanese ukiyo-e. It is a work of Takamizawa who is famous for the highest quality in the reprint. This is almost new. At the listing I have not researched the artist signatures, so offer them with this knowledge. These are not common, and each one appears to be created by a distinctive, skilled and talented artist. They are also all in need of care and restoration, some apparently were trimmed a bit, some having been affected by silverfish (they are all clean now, having been rescued from poor framing and storage). Please look to see the light spots in some of them which are the gnawed holes caused by these insects. I believe there is a following and enthusiasm for these 5, with collectors understanding that restoration can be accomplished, or that flaws can be acceptable when a print is viewed as special. This example has damage to the lower right corner, losses on one edge, and appears to have been trimmed a the bottom. This item is in the category “Antiques\Asian Antiques\Japan\Prints”. Toshi Yoshida Woodblock Mt. Holly Cross, Vail

Holly Cross, Vail, Colorado. This design was originally published in 1966 by the Yoshida Hanga Studio. We are offering a posthumously printed image, made from the original blocks, and acquired directly from the Yoshida family. While it is signed in the block, it still looks like it is pencil signed to an untrained eye. To avoid any misunderstanding, the Yoshida Hanga Studio also included the seal of the printer on the reverse. The image measures 11.75 x 19.5 inches, plus full margins. The condition is excellent. Toshi Yoshida was the oldest son of shin hanga print master Hiroshi Yoshida. Up until his father passed away in 1950, Toshi Yoshida primarily produced works that were reminiscent of his father? His later works include a wide assortment of subjects, styles and techniques. Don’t settle for a giclee or other mechanical reproduction. These woodblock prints are made using the same printing process as the original pencil signed run, under the supervision of the artist’s family and meeting their exacting standards. This item is in the category “Antiques\Asian Antiques\Japan\Prints”. The seller is “floatingworldgallery” and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped to United States.
