SIGNED & DATED 1961 # 15 OF 50. Kunihiro Amano Japanese b. 1929, Evening Moon J, Woodblock in Color. IMAGE MEASURES 21-1/2″ X 15″.. FRAME MEASURES 21″ X 27″. The artist Kunihiro Amano was born in Hirosake, Aomori Prefecture in 1929. He graduated from Aomori Prefectural Technical School and attended classes at Musashino University of Art. Kunihiro Amano exhibited with the Japanese Print Association in 1955 and at the Tokyo International Print Biennale in 1957 and Ljubljana in 1963. Art works by the artist are in the collections of major museums like the Washington Library of Congress. The artist is a member of the Japanese Print Association and of Kokuga-kei. Kunihiro Amano works in traditional woodblock technique. A typical edition size from the 1960s or 1970s is 50 copies, of later works 120 copies. And open editions exist side by side.
