In the March, 1930 catalogue of A Special Exhibition Of Modern. Japanese Prints at the Toledo Museum Of Art, this rare woodblock. The woodblock is signed Hasui in black with the Kawase seal in red. The date seal on the lower left margin reads, Taiso. On the lower right margin is the. A type of cartouche, on the left margin, contains the title of the series. Twenty Views Of Tokyo that includes this particular woodblock. The image size is 14 3/8x 9 ½ on paper that measures 15 ½x 10 ¼. The red of the Kannon Temple has some fading. The paper is flawless. And has the Watanabe address label on the back, of the Ginza address. Of his new location after the 1923 earthquake. The same 1930 catalogue lists that it was an edition of 300.
