Qualitatively beautiful reprint from the Meiji period (18681912) made by Utagawa Hiroshige (17971858), also known as Ando Hiroshige. Title of the print: The Willow Tree at the Gate of Shimabara Pleasure Quarter (Shimabara deguchi no yanagi), from the Famous Places in Kyoto series (Kyto meisho no uchi). Great to excellent condition, had been preserved well under glass and is professionlly framed. No tears, colors are vivid and no staining. Original publisher and publication date: Eisend (Kawash), mid 1830.
