This item is in used condition. There are signs of wear and discoloration throughout due to use and aging. The frame measures approximately 20 – 1/2 inches x 15 – 1/2 inches. The print itself measures approximately 14 – 5/8 inches x 9 – 5/8 inches. This item is approximately from 1930. The pencil signature and piece name were cut off from the print and put onto the back of the frame in a see through piece (not sure why they would do this). There is scratching/scuffing throughout the item. There is discoloration/wear throughout. There is water damage/staining all throughout the print (as shown in the photos). There is some warping on the print. There is a small indentation on the print by the persons head on the right side of the print. The fabric border underneath the glass has loose threads throughout. “The Pagoda at Ninnaji Temple, 1947″. The collectors guild, LTD, certifies and warrants that this is an original wood black print, pulled at the Uchida Atelier in Kyoto Japan. The Japanese characters on the print are the artists signature and his descriptive title. The scene is a tranquil view of the pagoda amidst cherry blossoms. The print is in excellent condition, the white marks seen in the photos are from the glare of the glass. The print measures approximately 10″ x 14″, and framed is 16″ x 22″. He had continued to create as a woodblock print artist for many years, and his warm style was loved by many fans, but unfortunately he passed away suddenly in January of 2019. Yoshida apparently took photographs of butterflies and birds himself to serve as models for making woodblocks. He traveled not only within Japan but also overseas in search of rare ones. He successfully photographed ones that are rarely seen, from familiar butterflies to various types of birds. Various types of butterflies and birds were accurately and meticulously rendered, and he made them sparkled on the papers. Condition : A few light creases on the edge. Please read before ordering.
