Ikeda taught in the 1940s and 1950s before becoming a fulltime artist and printmaker. He was a member of several printmaking associations including Nihon Hanga Kyokai. Ikeda’s work is important collections worldwide. This print, typical of Ikeda’s style and technique, is signed lower right and numbered 35/100 and dated 64. It is inscribed in Japanese lower left.
