Year of publication: 1921. Size: 18.7×12.5cm(7.4×4.9 inch). Condition: The cover and endpaper was refurbished. There are slightly stains in the pages, small cracks in the creases. Shibata Zeshin(1807~1891) is is a lacquer artist, painter and Japanese painter who was active from the end of the Edo period to the middle of the Meiji period. He is a craftsman who played a role of bridging from the early modern period to the modern period in the field of lacquering in Japan. This item is not new. This is a nice antique Japanese Meiji Period Shibata Zeshin signed watercolor & ink decorated woodblock print of ducks. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with come minor wear to the paper including a small rip on the back as well as to the matting and it comes exactly as shown.
