This is an original Japanese early-Showa Era c. (wood block print) titled Snow at Mukajima by the Japanese artist Kawase Hasui (1883 – 1957). The artist’s seal and signature is present on the lower left along with the 6 mm Watanabe publishers seal (see pictures 5, 6, & 7). The last three pictures show the bleed through of the colors on paper as they were hand printed. This print is full “oban” sized and measures roughly 9″ x 14″ (23 x 36 cm), with the size to edge of boarders, 10 1/4 by 15 1/4. Overall in fine condition with minor fading see edges of print boarder. Some museum tape stuck to top back (see picture 10).
