This is an original Japanese color wood block print by well known master, Utagawa Hiroshige. The image was from his series of 53 stations of the Tokaido Road. THis image was originally printed in 1836, this impression was probably done later in the 19th century, it has the seals and stamps that are to be found in this image and has the Hiroshige stamped signature within the image. Very presentable as it appears, good bleed through showing that this is a genuine color woodblock print and not a repro or giclee.. It is part of Hokusais magnificent Waterfalls series that immediately followed his famous Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji and was originally published during the years of 1833 and 1834. The magnificent Ono Falls where the Kiso River flows over a high rock outcropping along the Kisokaido Road near the village of Kagematsu.
