Lifetime edition published from the original blocks after World War II. The artist’s black ink stamped signature and red seal are at the lower right corner of the image. The print is titled in English and block signed in the bottom margin. The left margin contains the date and title in Japanese. Illustrated in “The Complete Woodblock Prints of Yoshida Hiroshi, ” Abe Publications, color plate #200. Paper: nearly 15 3/4″ x 10 1/2″ (image: 14 5/8 x nearly 9 3/4). There is some staining evident in the sky and margin at the top right corner and the paper is slightly distressed in that area. The back is also slightly discolored. TOSHI YOSHIDA The Friendly Garden triptych nice framed set of 3 woodblock prints. This is a set of three prints that belong together; Bamboo of the Friendly Garden, Pine Tree of the Friendly Garden, and Plum Tree of the Friendly Garden. They are woodblock prints, pencil signed by Toshi Yoshida. They are in their original hardwood frames and silk mats under plexiglass. They are in very good condition, there are minor scuffs on the frames which would easily buff out. Each frame measures 15-3/4″ by30-3/4″. Each print measures 9-3/4″ by 19-3/4″. There are some tears in the protective paper on back but other wise the prints and mats are in excellent condition. These have been in my family since bought new as a set of 3.
