Two Sumo wrestlers in elaborate costumes in an interior setting, the one on the left beside vertically stacked bales, lunging forward on one foot as if to attack the other surprised wrestler. Signed: Toyokuni ga in a pale blue toshidama cartouche, both sheets. Together they measure 20 1/4″ x 14 1/2″ Condition: Excellent color and detail, light soil; several holes, repaired; not attached, and slight residue on the reverse from where it had been previous laid down.
