Fuji in Clear Weather” or “Red Fuji, number 2 in his 36 Views of Mt. Fuji Series, done originally in 1831. I believe this piece is a second or third state. I just pulled this piece out of portfolio which was left to me years ago and came out of a very important Art Collection. The photos don’t really do it justice, being that the colors are more vivid and the lower forest has more of a greenish hue to it (I’m still a novice photographer). This amazing piece of Art is signed and has it’s censor mark on the border as seen in the photos. It is in Very Good Condition, with some very slight creasing in the lower right corner – very difficult to see and takes nothing away from the image itself. This piece is not laid down, is attached to a double mat (which should be replaced) and needs framing. The colors are very strong and beautiful and the image is dynamic and wonderful. The image size within the matting measures 10 1/8 inches by 15 inches and with the matting it’s 16 inches by 21 inches. This great image would make a wonderful addition to any Japanese Woodblock Collection, Asian Arts Collection or would just enhance any great home. Thank you for viewing this beautiful Japanese Woodblock, have a wonderful day and be good to one another! I, upon receiving your feedback, will reciprocate! The item “19th C.
