Kawase Hasui Woodblock Print “Spring rain at Sakuradamon ” at 1952 Watanabe Prints. Spring rain at Sakuradamon. Sakuradamon is one of the gates built on the inner moat of Edo Castle, located between Sakurada moat and Triumphal moat. It was designated as a National Important Cultural Property in 1961 as the Outer Sakuradamon Gate of Old Edo Castle. Tomoe’s mastery of the quiet, soft rainfall after a spring shower when the cherry blossoms were in bloom, and the wet, heavy tones of the concrete, were his specialties. This is a very popular work, and we hope you will take this opportunity to view it. 40 cm x 27 cm. Printed by : Watanabe Woodblock Art Shop. This is a genuine authentic woodblock print.
