Translation of the Text. The Japanese text on the print reads. (Tokaido Gojusan-tsugi no uchi Fujisawa). Which translates to Fujisawa Station, one of the fifty-three stations of the Tokaido Road.

For sale is a matted & framed 12″ x 16″ Tsuchiya Rakusan woodblock print titled “Grasshopper and Chinese Hibiscus”. Note the age and discoloration in the corners; this is not visible with the matting and frame. This is one sheet from a series of 36 titled ” Koshisei Gasen “. It has the Seal Code “B” of the 36 Series Seal Distributions. Is embossed in the lower margin and is shown in the photos. The print also has the signature. Raku-zan Kou-shi-sei above the Seal Code “B”. The print is matted and has a wood bamboo style frame with a glass cover. The print is 12″ x 16″ and the framed work is 17″ x 23″ and weighs 5 pounds.
