Overview: Up for sale is this fantastic woodblock print, “Doves and Girl” by modernist Japanese printer, Kaoru Kawano. Kawano is well-known as one of the earliest Japanese print artists to move from traditionalist styles and themes to more modern art-style subjects. This print dates from the 1950s and is a fantastic example of his work. It depicts a girl standing in front of three doves looking up at her. Print is signed at lower left. Print is in excellent condition. Measurements: Print measures approximately 16.75 inches high x 11.25 inches wide.
