This Japanese Woodblock Print is hand printed with a beautiful natural antique patina. A portion of the story of the Mirror of the Faithful Samurai and Loyal Retainers is uniquely captured in this piece. Markings on the back of this hand printed piece reveal the woodblock print technique and the words “Kuniyoshi Utagawa”. This particular portion of the story depicts Hayana Kampei Yoshitoshi kneeling with his sword drawn in preparation to perform seppuku in this heroic tragedy.
