This is an original Japanese Woodblock print by Kawase Hasui. This is a rare 1924 print. A great designed print of a figure in a nighttime rain storm. Signed in blue ink Hasui , with red circular seal Kawase , with publishers red circular seal Watanabe ; the series cartouche on the left-hand margin, Tabi miyage dai sanshu , followed by the print title, Suo Kintaikyo ; and the date beneath, Taisho jusannen saku made in Taisho [1924]. Has some toning couple pin holes in corner, otherwise a very fine print with strong color and exceptional strike details. Measures 15″ x 10 1/8″. Please look at photos for grading and condition.
