A stunning pair of Japanese Ukiyo-e Woodblock Oban Diptych prints by renowned master artist Toyohara Kunichika. One print features the late Samurai General, Honda Tadakatsu. The second prints subject is Edo period daimy, Kat Kiyomasa. Famous for commanding the Imjin War against Korea, capturing Seoul, Busan and many other cities. Depicted in this print with the spear he used to hunt Tigers. Published by Mintaro Ozaki this is a genuine original 19. In excellent overall condition. Very clean with only light wear commensurate with age and adding to authenticity. Both have been expertly preserved, colours are all clear and vivid. One small area of paper missing to the top left corner of the second print which will not be visible once the prints have been framed and mounted.
