Pair of Japanese Woodblock prints in original frames with new mats. “Bamboo” The print is 16.5″ tall x 11″ wide The frame is 21.25″ x 15.5″ Has Artist Chop Marks and Artist Seals. He graduated from the Kyoto Kaiga Semmon Galkko in 1930, a Technical School of Painting. He went on to do many things including Western-style art but mostly known for his Japanese-style paintings. Eventually after WWII he created a number of designs for Uchida Publishing including today’s pair of woodblocks “Bamboo”.
