A rarely seen (in original) Japanese woodblock print by Yoshitoshi active ca. 1840-80 from around 1850. This is a triptych, not attached at the seams, depicting Kato Kiyomasa hunting tigers in Korea during the Imjim war. Size of each panel 25 cm x 36,6 cm or 9.8″ x 14.4″. Splendid colors, excellent details! One 2 (5 cm) tear, in a bit thin area, mended (middle panel, right margin by the foot), slightly trimmed margins. You can still see the bleed through of the colors since the backing paper is only attached at a few places in the margins. This is a triptych, not attached at the seams. Some other tiny flaw but overall an excellent condition! I guarantee this is an original and not a reprint of any kind.
