Offering is antique, original, Japanese woodblock triptych (piece consisting of three panels joined together as one piece) entitled “Fashionable Spring Moon” by Utagawa Yoshitora. The print is in excellent condition considering its 157 years old. It is matted, framed and each panel is signed. The overall size is 35″ x 20″. A certificate of authenticity is attached to the back of the frame. Utagawa Yoshitora was a Japanese artist who specialized in woodblock prints and illustrated books and newspapers. He was a designer of “ukiyo-e” Japanese woodblock prints. The “ukiyo-e” style flourished in Japan from the 17th – 19th centuries. The East End Gallery.
