Size: 15 -1/2 x 10 -1/2.443 Print has been properly stored flat in a print folio for the past 70 years. Watanabe print shop in the mid-1940′s and has always been properly stored away. Condition: Very fine, with full margins and MINT colors. More then half of the picture plane is taken up by the sky and marsh; the strangely shaped mountain and trees are depicted in the remaining area. A design such as this is characteristic of Hasui’s style. The attention given to the reflection on the water and the total simplification of the deep blue sky are accomplished, as is the contrast between light and dark in the green trees on the island in the middle ground and the mountain aglow with the light of the setting sun.
