This is a beautiful specimen of a pre-war Hiroshi Yoshida print. It appears to be the November 1928 edition of the 1926 image, as published in the Enthronement Edition: The Japan Advertiser. “Himeji Castle-Morning, ” the image comes from the series Sakura hachidai (Eight Views of Cherry Blossoms). One small light watermark at top right (see photo). A small inclusion at lower mid left looks like a foreign object, but it appears to be original to the handmade paper. Other condition notes are minor and can include toning, subtle denting, and aging pigments. In general, this is very well preserved for a 90-some-year-old piece. I recommend that you look up information on this image and edition online as far as the appropriate seals, signatures, and other markings, and compare this against other specimens of the same year. This is the not the first edition (1926), which would be significantly more expensive. H x W Paper. 15 3/8 x 10 1/4 in. H x W Image. 13 7/8 x 9 1/4 in.
