Vintage Hiroshige Monkey Bridge Woodblock Print with Frame

The frame is in good condition and has beautiful corner details. The glass is old and wavy with some seeding. The back has the framers logo. It has the signature on the bottom left side. Size: Overall 22 3/8″ tall by 9 3/4″ wide. Some dings and wear on the frame, nothing a little paint wouldn’t fix. There is some wavyness to the top of the print, see pics. I know nothing about this book other that it is beautiful and Old. It belonged to an American Women that taught in Japan in the mid 1930s. Most are dated 1920s – 1930s. I have many on and some books left to decipher. If you know anything about this book, I would love to know. I have written to different people asking for help with no response. There are 360 pages with 8 having color. It looks to be a story, but again, I know nothing. The cover’s title is worn off. The pages all seem good. See pictures for best details. The hardware, lock plate and rivets are iron. The lock plate may be a replacement part. The family crest, mon, may have been added later, it is copper/brass. The box’s interior floor was lined with woodbock print paper, most visible is Ebisu, one of the 7 lucky gods. Fill around knots and other areas. Gouge on side of box. Nicks, scratches, wear to patina. Loss of woodblock print paper used to line the bottom of box. Bottom corner edges show wear. 9 1/2″W x 17 1/2″L x 12H. Weight of box and lock. 18 pounds 4 ounces.
