Beautiful framed Hiroshige II print. Colors are bolder and have more depth than appear in the photographs. Title: Five-sword Mountain in Sanuki Province (Sanuki Gokenzan), from the series One Hundred Famous Views in the Various Provinces (Shokoku meisho hyakkei). 10″ x 15″ or 25cm x 37cm. Professionally framed in Belgium in 2000. Frame dimensions are 15 1/4″ x 20 3/4″ or 39cm x 53cm. Hiroshige II, 1826 17 September 1869 was a Japanese designer of ukiyo-e art. He inherited the name Hiroshige II following the death in 1858 of his master Hiroshige, whose daughter he married. His work so resembles that of his master that scholars have often confused them.
