Originally these were part of a complete set of 8 prints from the original blocks of the 1928 Shotaro Sato edition (albeit a later printing from the 40s) of the masterful series’8 Snow Scenes of the Eastern Metropolis’. Titles of the 6 for offer are: 1 A Snow Evening at Takanawa. 2 Snow in the Grounds of the Fudo Shrine at Meguro. 3 Twilight View of the Snow-clad Ryogoku Bridge. 4 View From the Sumida River Embankment. 5 Toeizan Temple and Shinobazu Pond, Ueno. And 6 Snow Scene at Kinryuzan Buddist Temple, Asakusa District. Each measures 15-1/2″ x 10″. Condition is each very good. One has pencil marks on it.
