The book has side stitched binding; each page is formed from a single sheet of paper printed on one side and then folded with the printed side out. The top and bottom corners of the spine are enclosed with what appears to be silk edging. A rectangular printed paper title slip is pasted onto the front cover in the top left corner. Pale pink, blue, green and gray were used to highlight the black line images. Approximate size: 9-1/2″ x 6-1/4″. Condition: Very nice copy of botanical woodblock prints by Hokusai with good detail. I believe that this was issued in 1912 (Meiji 45). Binding is tight and pages are intact, clean, and unmarked. Additional pictures available upon request.
