Antique or vintage Japanese woodblock. Frame 24.5 × 13.5; image 14×6.5. We bought this from an antique print dealer when Neta had her antiques store in the 90s. It is an impressive, evocative picture. A woman and her lantern walking during dusk. The figure stands out against the gray twilight indistinct background. The framing enhances the picture. The inner mat in the color of the lantern and the chop was an inspiration. The thin outer mat echoes the blacks in the image. In a silver wood frame. An eBayer tells me that this is a reproduction.
