Joshua Rome “Satsukiame” 1984 signed #3 of 100 Woodblock print – pre-owned but in beautiful condition – professionally framed – paper backing of frame has three punctures on it and small stain – see pic. Square inside matting containing Woodblock is 11.5 inches x 11.5. Frame is 20′ x 20′ x 1.25′. Joshua Rome 1953-present – American artist Joshua Rome studied and worked in Japan for more than 30 years. His woodblock prints are notable for their warm tones and bright flashes of color, mixing Western design with a Japanese understanding of space. Rome carves his own blocks and self-prints his designs. American and Japanese art collectors collect his works, which also can be found in major museums worldwide, such as the British Museum and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
