Original Antique Japanese Woodblock Print dated, titled 1895 by Yosai Nobukazu. Title: Saru-mawashi Performance on New Year’s Day, this is right part of a tryptich. Also know as Watanabe Nobukazu, pupil of Yoshu Chikanobu He worked in a variety of genres from pictures of beautiful women (biiinga) to famous views of modernizing Tokyo (kaika-e), including depictions of domestic industrial exhibitions, depictions of the emperor and empress, and war and rebellion prints (senso-e).
