Throughout our career of collecting we have adored horses. These four pieces by the same artist we found especially wonderful. Obviously they had to have been acquired together and two have a label on the reverse of the framing company in. With an elaborate posting on the reverse of one mostly in Japanese — very impressive. The estate from which these very old woodblock prints were discovered by us and the age of the original paperwork establishes well they are very antique. More importantly, the succinct original drawings that were used for the woodblock we think are supreme. You be the judge. They are handsomely framed. The prints themselves are the about the same size. Two have smaller frames and two have larger frames. Overall size of the two smaller framed prints are 18-3/4″ wide by 14-1/8″ by 3/4. The prints themselves are 13-1/2″ wide by 9-1/4″. Overall size of the two larger framed prints are 17-1/4″ wide by 21-1/4″ by 3/4. The prints themselves are 9-1/2″ wide by 13-1/4″.
