I’m offering this very charming original Japanese woodblock print by Yoshitoshi commonly known as “Looking Tiresome” from his series Thirty-Two Aspects of Women. The image depicts a wealthy young woman leaning over and affectionately teasing her white cat, which has intricately embossed fur (the “gauffrage” technique). The print was published in 1888 by Kobayashi. The print size is oban tate-e (10″ x 14.5″) and it is in a black metal frame that measures 20-3/4″ x 17″. Yoshitoshi is considered one of the last great masters of ukiyo-e. The item “Original Framed Yoshitoshi Tiresome Japanese Woodblock Print 1888 Cat” is in sale since Sunday, November 19, 2017. This item is in the category “Antiques\Asian Antiques\Japan\Prints”. The seller is “ajcarl” and is located in Chicago, Illinois. This item can be shipped to United States.
