It is also signed in Japanese in the image above a red seal. This print belonged to my grandmother’s cousin, who was at the American Embassy in Tokyo from 1931 to 1942 when she was exchanged with the rest of the interned embassy staff for the Japanese Embassy staff in Washington. She was permitted to bring her personal effects back, which included many Japanese prints. This print was done by the artist is 1935. Oban size (overall 10 15/16 x 15 11/16) in fine condition with very light mat lines to the margin. It has beautiful Bokashi markings to the verso, along with a small label from the dealer. My cousin’s name and an order number was written along the extreme edge of the top front margin by the dealer, well out of view when matted. I have had four Japanese Washi paper hinges attached with archival glue to remount it correctly, in the event a framer does not know how to do this. I have perfect feedback and offer a no quibble return within 3 days if you are not satisfied.
