Breathtaking woodblock print “Kasumu Yube, Shinobazu Chihan” (Misty Evening at Shinobazu Pond) is by Shiro Kasamtsu (1898 – 1992). Very soft and subtle spring image. The publisher is Watanabe. Title “?? “(Kasumu Yube), subtitle (Shinobazu Chihan), and artist name (Kasamatsu Shiro) on the left margin. Artis red seal “Shiro” on the lower-left corner of the image. This is a later printing in 1946 – 1957. Shown art measures 14-1/8″ x 9-3/8″. Signature: Artis red seal “Shiro” on the lower-left corner of the image.
