Finding an original complete set of all 12 prints, in such wonderful condition, is rare. All 12 prints are in EXCELLENT condition! The green outer portfolio case does show wear and was reinforced with clear tape by the previous owner. Each woodblock print is bordered by a paper mat, some of which have creases or tears (see photos). Again-the prints themselves are all original, beautiful and in wonderful condition, free from any water spots, tears, creases or any damage whatsoever. They are truly lovely! Each print (not including mat) measures 10.25 x 11.5 inches; and 13.25 x 15 inches including mat. The portfolio/case measures 13.75 x 15.5 inches. The portfolio table of contents describes the prints as follows. Kyoto had been the capital of Japan and Mikados’ seats for more than twelve long centuries and, naturally enough, she is rich in colourful and sometimes even sad histories, legends, traditions and romances. August: The Bonfire festival of the Daimonji Hill viewed from the Sanjo Bridge. September: The old Imperial Palace. October: The full-moon night at the gate of the Chionin Monastery.
